Since the IR35 legislation came into force in 2018 there has been a noticeable increase in local authorities utilising our staff for contract and temporary positions as the more experienced and knowledgeable contractors have moved into private organisations to avoid IR35.
Local authorities also struggle to recruit permanent members of staff, in particular the more technical specific roles such as traffic engineers, road safety engineers, and parking engineers.
